At 843 acres, Central Park is New York City's largest architectural work as well as being America's most famous landscaped park. Our tour examines the impetus behind the creation of the park and the implementation of Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux's unique "Greensward" plan. Stops along the way reveal where their plan has been preserved along with the subsequent additions and revisions that give the park its ever-changing character.
