ARTHUR AVENUE & BELMONT: The Heart of the Bronx

From its sleepy beginnings as the Rose Hill and Belmont estates, where the Lorillard family had their tobacco factories and the Catholic Diocese built St. John's College, the area that is today best-known for the "Little Italy of the Bronx" has a rich history dating back centuries. This walk includes Arthur Avenue, the heart of Belmont, as well as a look at Fordham University, the areas original homes and churches, and--for the most ambitious walkers--Edgar Allan Poe's only existing New York City home.

This tour lasts approximately 90 minutes and costs a flat fee of $100 for groups of 1-4 people. For parties larger than 4 people, the cost is $25 per person. Please inquire about discounts for student groups or parties larger than 10 people.
